Aerogel insulation

EVERGEL – AEROGEL BLANKET

The aerogel in the form of a mat is the most effective thermal insulation in the world. An aerogel blanket is a porous substance with extremely good thermal insulation properties, due to a large amount of pores inside its structure, with air contained within. It remains enclosed inside a silica frame so that its percentage in pores reaches up to 99.8% of total volume. Its porous structure is so small that is minimises the impact of convection and thermal radiation. The structure of the silica frame makes aerogel a solid with very low conductivity.

The Evergel aerogel blanket is an excellent thermal insulation material, perfect for its primary purpose – it ensures thermal insulation, but also provides many more benefits, due to its unique parameters. It is a plastic material, which is easily moulded and cut to a specific shape. Therefore, due to its low thickness, it can be successfully applied as a thermal insulation material for thermal bridges, areas with difficult access, and objects where application of thicker insulation is restricted due to architectonic reasons.

The material’s reaction to fire class has been tested in a renowned institute, Exova Warringtonfire, and all parameters have been certified by European Technical Assessment ETA-20/0308. The mat has also been provided with the Health Certificate issued by the National Health Institute, and the EPD Environmental Declaration.

Advantages

HIGH ENERGY PERFORMANCE

The Evergel aerogel blanket demonstrates very good thermal insulation properties – thermal conductivity coefficient 0.017W/mk. This is why a 11mm Evergel mat is successful in replacing traditional 30mm insulation panels.

FIRE SAFETY

The heat-resistant Evergel fulfils the most demanding fire safety standards. Its European reaction to fire class is A2, S1, -d0, meaning its a non-flammable material, it does not generate hazardous smoke, and it does not spread fire.

DURABILITY

The Evergel blanket is a durable material which keeps its properties for a long time. It is hydrophobic, resistant to external factors and to chemical and microbial corrosion. The mat does not take damage when pressed upon.

SOUNDPROOFING PROPERTIES

Due to its porous and open structure, the Evergel is perfect for soundproofing. The material adheres closely to the building structure, closing any spaces allowing noise through.

WATER VAPOUR PERMEABILITY

The Evergel blanket is 100% hydrophobic and vapour-permeable at the same time. It ensures any moisture on walls dries up and prevents corrosion.

SMALL FOOTPRINT

Low thickness of the insulation material and efficient use of packing space allows to reduce transport and storage costs several times, compared to stiff, pre-moulded materials.
